David “Dave” Thomas
60, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 24, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 31, 1957 to the late Dave E. and Dottie M. Thomas. Dave was a 1975 Graduate from Arlington High School. He worked at Sam’s Wholesale Club on 96th Street for 15 years. He previously worked at EPI and Lake Castleton Apartments. Dave was a published poet and enjoyed creating songs. He was a naturally talented keyboardist who loved to jam with friends. He loved to watch movies and listen to Ozzy and other classic rock bands. His many travels with Lisa included places on his bucket list such as Niagara Falls and Jamaica. In addition, he was an avid Colts and Pacers fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed time with friends at the Indianapolis 500 Snake Pit.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa, and fur babies, Cosmo and Shadow; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many close friends and family.
Funeral Service will be at 8pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with visitation from 4pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s memory to: American Cancer Society, Hamilton County Humane Society, and any local music association.
