David Lynn "Egor" Johnson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2025, in Ingalls, Indiana. Born on February 17, 1955, in Kingsport, Tennessee, David lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to his family.

David dedicated 35 years of his professional life to Brockway Glass, retiring in 2012. Throughout his career, he exemplified a strong work ethic that earned him deep respect from his colleagues and friends. His role as a provider extended beyond the workplace; he was a true pillar for his family, ensuring that they were always cared for and never went without.

He proudly served in the United States Army, further embodying the values of duty and sacrifice. This sense of commitment carried into every aspect of his life, especially in his cherished role as a family man. Those who knew David often remarked that to know him was to love him. His warm personality and unwavering spirit endeared him to many. He enjoyed spending time with his three nieces that he loved dearly, Karmi Conn, Josie Conn, and Harlow Conn.

David's interests were as rich as his character. He sure loved his sweets and never missed an opportunity to have one. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying a cold Budweiser or a glass of Jack Daniels while spending quality time with his loved ones. His passion for gardening brought him joy and satisfaction, allowing him to nurture the beauty of life around him. A motorcycle enthusiast at heart, he particularly enjoyed his rides on his Harley Davidson, finding freedom and adventure on the open road.

David is survived by his wife Elena Johnson, whom he married on March 16, 1979; two children Duane Johnson and Cortney Michael (Mark); 7 grandsons Kole Johnson, Hunter(Abby) Johnson, Kaleb Leppink, Spencer Leppink, Easton Michael, Keiton Johnson, and Channing Johnson; 2 great-grandchildren Kael Johnson and Kalli Johnson; brother Tim Johnson; sister Robin McDaniel; several nieces and nephews; and his favorite sister-in-law Franny Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Dorothy Johnson.

David Lynn Johnson leaves behind countless memories and lessons cherished by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of hard work, love, and dedication will forever be remembered by his family and friends. He will be dearly missed but vividly remembered for the profound impact he made on the lives of those around him.
