David Marshall “Goob”Dishon

58, of Westfield,Indiana passed away unexpectedly in a vehicle accident on December 11, 2016.Dave was born on February 1, 1958 to the late Louis Marshall Dishon and Peggy(Fenner) Kirby. He was raised on a farm and graduated in 1977 from WestfieldHigh School. Dave was a Master Mason for Purdy Masonry off and on for 30 years, along with being a member of the MuncieChapter of the Mason Union. Not only was he a master mason, but he really was a jack of all trades, master of none. He was a firefighter, EMT, farmer, and handyman to name a few. But something that he was really passionate about would be his music. He loved music,especially Elvis. His main instrument was the bass guitar, but he could also play the keyboard, mandolin, and drums to name a few. He was in 3 different bands, and was a member of the worship team of the New Life Church in Noblesville. His proudest music moment would be when he toured with Steppenwolf.

Dave was a unique soul with his own personality. He would go out of his way to help anyone. Dave was a wonderful Dad, Papaw,and Brother and will be missed dearly!

He is survived by his: daughter, LaDonna (Buddy) Turner;son, Alex (Ashley) Dishon; mother of his children, Donna McKinney;step-children, Clint and Taylor; granddaughter, Grace Dishon; brother, Ernie(Julie) Kirby of IL; aunt, Marg Rigdon; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Ferguson, Stephanie Kirby, Sharliena Novogradac, Jessie Haynes, Gatlyn Kirby, Kotler Kirby, Kalyn Kirby; great nieces and nephews, Haley, Nathan, Christian, Mia, and Ellie Mae; along with many cousins. Daveis preceded in death by his: brother, James “Jimmy” William Kirby; niece,Melinda Kirby; and parents listed above.
