Deborah Allene Means
September 30, 1958 – January 25, 2021

Debbie was born to Delton L and Reverend Jacqueline A. Means. She was the sister of

David R – Patrick L – and Delton L Means. And loving mother of Zachary Allen Means. She was born in Indianapolis, IN,

and attended Warren Central High School graduating in the “Class of 1977”. As a youngster growing up was involved with

the Brownie’s and Girl Scouts also participated in various church functions and youth group. She loved to camp with the families

and friends that she grew up with. Debbie loved being Daddy’s girl. Debbie was the Betty Crocker of the family and looked forward

to the holidays baking cookies and the best Cherry Delight for the whole family. Debbie was employed by the Indiana Women’s Correctional Facility

for several years as a Correctional Officer and was awarded “ Officer of the Year “ during her tenure. During her later years Debbie was

battling cancer as well as heart disease and fought both till the Lord took her to a better place. Debbie was proceeded in death by

Delton L. Means, William D. Lyons, brother Patrick L. Means, Terri L. Means and others in her life. She is survived by her son Zachary A. Means,

mother Reverend Jacqueline A. Means, brothers David R. (Cynthia J.) Delton L. (Sharon J.) Means. JOEY her special companion throughout her illness.

Several Aunts,Uncles numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. As well as great nieces and nephews, and friends as well as those who took care of her during her last days.

Services are being held at Legacy Funeral Home 1604 W. Morris St. Indianapolis In. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 restrictions service’s are limited to invite only.
