Deborah Anne Goodwin

Deborah Anne Goodwin, age 60, of Anderson, passed away at her home on May 5, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 28, 1960 to the late Jack Goodwin and Carole (Presser) Young.

Deborah was a graduate of Madison Heights High School, Class of 1979. Deborah was known to her friends and family as the “crazy cat lady.” She loved her fur babies deeply. She lived for her cats Anika, Penny, and Tony. She spent a lot of time studying genealogy, doing crafts, and making quilts. She was invested in being a member of her church St. Johns Lutheran Church, in Anderson, where she had many loving friends. She was always collecting things, especially dishes and angels. She loved spending time with her close family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Deborah is survived by her twin sister Rebecca Byrd; siblings Martha Young, Dave Young (Rosemary), and Lisa Haan (Greg); nieces and nephews Jonathon Young (Shawna), Andrew Lloyd, Lauren Haan, and Megan Haan; and so many special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above; grandparents Howard and Marge Presser; stepfather Mike Young; special friend Gary Richard; nephew Steve Jones; and precious cats Missy, Mandy, Smokey and Mira.

Cremation services were handled by Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday May 10, 2021 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Anderson, IN at 1pm.
