Denise Crusenberry 57, passed away unexpectedly Thursday February 22, 2018. Legacy Funeral Services located at 1604 W Morris St Indianapolis, IN, 46221 will be handling the memorial service on Friday March 2, 2018. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a small service following. A

Denise was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis IN, born September 3 1960, and is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Flossie Crusenberry. Surviving is her daughter Hope R. Peyton(Casey), Sisters Mary Madden(Tommie) and Jeanie Crusenberry, brother Roger Crusenberry(Sandy) along with several nieces and nephews.
Denise worked for Wayne Township Schools working and managing the school cafeteria at Rhoades Elementary. She loved her job so much and looked forward to it everyday. All the kids that would see her outside of school would run up and hug her and call her the lunch lady. She also did volunteer work for the Pay What You Can program serving meals to folks who did not have much money for a meal. She also volunteered for the No One Dies Alone program. There she would read talk or just hold a dying person's hand. She was known as a jokester and loved to wear the brightest and weirdest colors she could find. Her biggest accomplishment in life was surviving stomach cancer. She will be greatly missed but we know in our hearts she is now with her parents of whom she missed so much. Denise would not want you to be sad at a time like this as we all know she is smiling down on all of us.
