Dexter Ellis Cloud

Dexter Ellis Cloud, age 75, of Anderson, passed away at his home on April 2, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 16, 1947, to the late William and Kathryn (Bayley) Cloud.

Dexter graduated from Frankton High School, Class of 1966. He spent most of his life working for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier and later retired from there. Dexter was an avid fisherman in every sense of the word. He participated in tournaments, Bass Masters, and even taught classes. He loved to hunt and was a real outdoorsman. He was dedicated to his family, effortlessly taking care of his wife for the past 17 years after her stroke. He was a genuine man who would do anything for anyone in need. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dexter is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Susann Cloud; children Margie Tondu (Dave) and Kathy Coale (Ed); grandchildren Andrea Tondu, Elizabeth Tondu, Mazi Shryock (Brecken), and Evan Coale (Alyssa); great-grandchildren Paisley, Paxton, and Kevin; siblings Carl Cloud and Garry Cloud (LouAnn); Aunt Betty and Best friend Alex.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lone Oak Wesleyan Church on Thursday May 12, 2022, at 4pm.

Cremation was handled through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
