Dolores Fay Summers England November 18, 1947 - August 21, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dolores Fay Summers England, who left this world surrounded by the love of her family.
Dolores was born on November 18, 1947, in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, to Daniel and Naomi Summers. Her early years were filled with the values of hard work, love, and devotion, which she carried with her throughout her life. Dolores was blessed with a love that lasted a lifetime, marrying William England and sharing 26 wonderful years together before his passing. As a devoted mother to Robert Summers and Daniel Lydy (Patti), Dolores was the anchor of their lives, providing guidance, wisdom, and endless love.
Dolores dedicated many years of her life to working at the Rock Island Oil Refinery in Indianapolis before retiring. However, her greatest joy and pride came from her role as "Grandma Lorsey" to her eight grandchildren: Tiffany, Brandy, Jesse, Dylan, Christopher, Casey, Elyssis, and Lexi. She was also the cherished great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren: Carter, Bayne, Opie, Emery, and Dutton. For Dolores, her family was everything, and her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. They were her greatest joy, and she made sure they knew just how much they were loved, every single day. Dolores is survived by her loving sisters, Beatrice Johnson, Darlene Cooley, Mona Powers and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Naomi Summers, her beloved husband, William England, and her dear sisters, Marie Harper and Sandra Price. Dolores will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to make everyone feel special and cherished. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be deeply missed by all.
