Donna Jean Garten

Donna Jean Garten, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 27, 2019. She was born on September 15, 1946 in Oakland, CA, and adopted by the late Charlie B. Miller and Eleanor Anne (Perry) Jarvis. Donna graduated from high school in Georgia. She worked at Jenn Air, Logo 7, and Burlington Coat Factory.

Donna loved to gamble, especially slots in Vegas, and travel with her family. She went to Egypt 3 times, she loved it so much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Erik Fox; her brother, Ernie LeRoy Marks; and her many pets. Donna is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Garten; children, Jeff Garten, David Garten, Agena Biggerstaff, and Lisa White; grandchildren, Brandan Biggerstaff, Aryonna White, and Elijah White; great-grandchildren, Skyla Ewing and Kaiser Ewing; and her dog, Missy.

Visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue.
