Douglas A. Brown 54, of Indianapolis passed away on July 18, 2019. He was born January 5, 1965 to
Vernon and Ruby Brown in Indianapolis, Indiana. Doug leaves behind the love of his life Mary Davis of 27yrs,
Children: Cecil, Ashley, Tabatha (Ian), Charlie (Jennifer), Tasha (Sammy), Randall (Jasmine), Josh (Lauren),
Lacey (Kyle), Kevin; Siblings: Margaret (Warren), Tammy, Beany, Daniel (Patty), Kelly (Jerry), Kandy; 20 Grandchildren,
and 1 Great-Grandchild that will cherish every memory they have of him.
Doug was proceeded in death by his parents Vernon and Ruby Brown, Son Douglas Jr, and Grandson Bentlee.
The family shared Doug was a GREAT Papa!! He loved all of his Grandbabies. He was a hard worker. He worked for
Red Ball Moving Company for 21 years up until the time they went out of business. Doug was known to many as a “Pack Rat”
and a “Scrapper”. He collected many things. But his favorite was old toys. Doug was well know in Beech Grove, Indiana
over at Mike Heimel Auction Service. His Bidding number will always be #52. He also enjoyed a little gambling, Texas Hold’em Tournaments,
and betting on the ponies. Through the 27yrs of Doug and Mary being together, they always stuck it out. Through the “good” the “bad” and the “ugly”.
Doug could be a little hard to handle, but them Grandbabies had him wrapped around their fingers.
Mary shared her and Doug would sneak off many times to their secret fishing hole and have some “them time”.
Taking in each others company and enjoying a little fishing time together.
