Eddie Harmon Jr.

Eddie Harmon Jr., 97, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 27, 2021. He was born on December 15, 1923 in Indianapolis to the late Eddie and Inez (Huntington) Harmon, Sr. Eddie graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1941. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army with General Patton’s 3rd Army. Eddie worked for Witco/Richardson’s Rubber Company as a Quality Control Specialist.

Eddie was a member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church and Englewood Masonic Lodge 715.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty R. Harmon; parents, Eddie and Inez Harmon; along with 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Eddie is survived by his children, Donald Harmon (Cheryl), Larry Harmon (Lori), and Linda Long; 11 grandchildren, lots of great grandchildren; and sisters, Edna Rice and Truth Jordan.

Visitation will be from 10am to 11am on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 11am. Burial to follow with military honors at Asbury Cemetery, Morristown, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence United Methodist Church or The Salvation Army.
