Edward Eugene Woolsey, age 65, residing in New Castle, passed away on November 11, 2021 at St. Vincent 86th St. hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on October 29, 1956 to the late David and Marilyn (Roche) Woolsey in Vincennes, Indiana. He was the first of three boys.
Edward attended Pike Central High School, in Pike county, Indiana, located outside of Petersburg, IN. He worked for Contech in Michigan for several years, ran a muffler shop in Michigan, as well as working as an Optical Tech for Lenscafters and Dr. Tavel in Indianapolis. He was a kind-hearted man but would always joke around with everyone. He loved his mountain dew and cigarettes. He enjoyed playing softball and golf in his younger years. He was a wonderful man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Edward is survived by his son Chris Woolsey; ex-wife Carla Sumners Woolsey; brother Scott Woolsey (Marilyn); stepmother Laurie Woolsey; stepsister Missy Sowders (John); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, and brother Michael Woolsey.
Cremation services were handled through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
