Edward Lawrence Trees

Ed Trees, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 17, 2021. He was born to Jennie and Larry Trees in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Ed graduated from Warren Central High School. He spent time serving with the United States Navy. He earned his associates degree in Criminal Justice. He dedicated his career life to Construction and spent the majority of this time at Arch Walls.

Ed loved to conversate with anyone he met. He loved telling stories and talking about how proud he was of his children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball, watching the Washington Redskins play, and watching his children’s baseball games. He took the most pride in coaching his children in soccer, football, basketball and most importantly baseball. He touched the lives of many young athletes and took pride in teaching the game to anyone that would listen. He won many championship games and his love for the game could be felt by anyone who watched him coach.

Ed loved God and dreamed of the day he would be amazed by the Glory of Heaven. He was an avid Christian and taught his children to love God, pray often, and to openly share that love with others.

Ed loved his family and devoted his life to making those he loved happy. He was a selfless man that cared more about the wants of his wife and children than his own. He was proud of all 8 of his children and told them regularly. He never went a day without letting those around him know how much he loved them.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Trees; mother, Jennie Trees; brother, Bobby (Tiffany) Trees; sons, Nick, Nate, Zeke, and EJ; stepsons, Jadon, Pacey and Kyler Jones; step daughter; Samarah Jones and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Trees and sister Melody Marie.

Ed will be missed by the many lives he touched and his memory will live on for generations to come! 456838

Donations can be made at the service in lieu of flowers to help cover the expense of the funeral and medical expenses as Ed did not have life insurance

Visitation will be from 3pm to 4pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 4pm.
