Edward Martin Ring, 76, of Anderson, Indiana passed away on February 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1942 in Elwood, Indiana.

Ed graduated from Wendel Wilkie High School in 1960 and enlisted in the Air Force in 1960 stationed in England where he served his country and was honorably discharged in 1965. Ed graduated IU Kokomo School of Nursing in 1972.

Ed is survived by his partner and spouse John P. Raymore from May 1980 to present, sister-in-law Kathryn Raymore, niece Kristen Pence, great-nephew Michael Pence, brother-in-law Pete Raymore (Barb Raymore), nephew Clint Raymore, niece Missy (Mark) Petro, great-nephews Jacob, Drew, and great-niece Ali Petro, nephew Chris Warner, Tony (Vicki) Warner and a host of great nieces and great nephews.

Edward leaves behind special friends of many years Jess Weaver and Kathie (Ray) Bauer; “Mother” Bobbie Johanningsmeier; and his special genealogy friend Joann Griner. A special thanks to Heather, Jennifer, and the entire E.R. staff at Community Hospital Anderson, and the nurses and staff with Kindred Hospice for their care in Ed’s final hours.

Kathryn, thank you so much for the daily calls. Those meant the world to Ed.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary F. Ring, sisters Jeanene (Weldon) Warner, Katherine Ring, brother John T. Ring, and niece Julie Warner, mother-in-law and father-in-law Ruth and Stanley Raymore, and brother-in-law Phillip Raymore.

As painful as your passing is, we know you are no longer suffering and are at peace awaiting those who are left behind.

At Ed’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Madison County Humane Society.
