Florah Trench Wright, age 69, passed away peacefully May 1, 2020 due to brain cancer.
She was born on June 27, 1950 in Hanover Jamaica, raised by father Bertan Collin Trench, and grandparents, Medora Matilda (Beckford) and Daniel Power Trench, (Sis & Mass Dan.)
Surviving family members include husband Millard Wright, children from first marriage, Anthony and Kristin Noble, grandchildren Ronald and Bryce Davis, and Phoenix and Azure Noble-Geyer; step-children Sacha, Gabrielle, Benjamin and Kevin Wright; step-grandchildren Margo and River Kux; brother Colin Trench; sisters, Treisha Trench-Smith, Fausha Trench-McLean, Tova Trench-Anderson, and Amy Samuells. Father Bertan Trench Pre-deceased, mother Nessie Samuells pre-deceased, and brother Vincent Trench pre-deceased.
A small Memorial Service marking the passing of Florah Trench Wright will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 15, 2020 with another planned for the anniversary of her passing in 2021 to celebrate her life. Information for this memorial will be announced at a later date.
Major life’s events:
Born and raised in Hanover Jamaica.
She lived with her father, step-mother, and brother the United Kingdom while attending elementary school.
1968: Graduated from St. Elizabeth Technical High school
1970: First marriage to John Noble
1972: Moved to the Indianapolis IN, USA where she raised 2 children, attained her bachelors in business accounting, and MBA, while working as a CPA within the telecommunication industry.
1999: Re-married to Millard Wright and moved to Detroit Michigan, later retiring from AT&T and began a successful consulting employment first with a Detroit based Real Estate Development company, then with several Fortune 500 companies, working with Resources Global Professionals. Her assignments centered on conducting financial analysis of publicly owned companies for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance within the Continental United States and reviewing and establishing accounting control systems for USA owned companies globally.
2014: Florah retired from Resources Global Professionals to spend her retirement with her husband Millard Wright between the USA and Western Jamaica where they built their retirement home to also be used for Bed & Breakfast hospitality accommodations.
