Fredrick I. "Mike" (Pat) Patterson

Fredrick I. “Mike” (Pat) Patterson, 85, Anderson, passed away at his home Sunday, April 16, 2023, after an extended illness.

He was born on October 2, 1937, in Anderson, and retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis after 33 years. He was the owner of Pat’s Metal Detectors and Army Surplus and was a member of several genealogy societies and treasure hunting clubs.

Survivors include his daughters Janine Pickett, Anderson; Twila Jackson (Jeff) Markleville; Sandy Hughes, Kokomo; his son Michael J. Patterson (Gretchen) Brownsburg; sisters Kathy Patterson, California; Fannie Parker, Colorado; brother Dick Patterson (Donna), California; grandchildren Carissa Jackson, Eric Jackson, Brittny Pickett, Dustin Pickett (Emily), Tina Conklin (Jon), Jennifer Hooker (Tom); great-grandchildren Karmin Streaty, River Pickett, Juniper Pickett, Koa Pickett, Abby Jackson, McKenzie Scherzinger, Michael Hooker; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy M. (Dottie) Patterson, his parents Fredrick Ishmeal Patterson and Lois Dole Gillman, stepmother Mary Lou Patterson, and two sisters Sheryl Walters and Debbie DeKeleita, and son-in-law Jeff Pickett.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 25, 2023, from 1pm-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Saunders Cemetery.
