Mr. Gary D. Blankenship

Gary DeWayne Blankenship, age 68, of Indianapolis, IN died suddenly on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.  He was born on March 13, 1951 in Beech Grove, IN to William C. Blankenship and Thelma M. (Todd) Blankenship.

He graduated from Southport High School with the class of 1969.  For the majority of his life he worked as a truck driver and farmed on the family farm.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Theresa M. Blankenship; daughters, Lisa and Sarah Blankenship; grandchildren, Anthony K. Linson and Maleah A. Blankenship; mother, Thelma Blankenship; brother, Steve (Jenny) Blankenship; sisters, Caroline (Barry) Kay, Nancy Ewing and Cindy (Gary) Ernst.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis, 1604 W. Morris St., Indianapolis, IN 46221.  Certified Funeral Celebrant Barbara Milton officiating.
