Gary Douglas Perkins

Gary Douglas Perkins, 64, unexpectedly passed away September 24, 2017 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born March 14, 1953 and adopted by his parents William H. and Eileen (Nelson) Perkins in Decatur, Illinois.

Gary graduated from RB High School in Riverside/Brookfield, Illinois in 1971. For most of his career he worked with his father at Howlett & Perkins as a legislative lobbyist. Gary was a loving son, father and grandfather to his four children and six grandchildren.
Surviving Gary are his children, Janette (Aaron Anderson) Gallup, John (Rachel) Perkins, Michelle (Josh) McGuire, Mathew (Lindsey Hunt) Perkins; grandchildren Anthony, Cameron, Daysi, Sophia, William and Hyler.
Preceding Gary in death are his parents William H and Eileen Perkins and former wife Romina Italia Mastro- Perkins.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Monday October 2, 2017 at Schwarz Funeral Home, 907 Jefferson Street, Mendota, Illinois 61342 from 5pm – 7pm.
