George Everett "Bud" Perry, born on July 5, 1949, in Anderson, Indiana, passed away on October 7, 2024, in his hometown after a brief illness.
Bud was a dedicated individual known for his strong work ethic and his capacity to bring joy to those around him. For the majority his life, he worked in maintenance, applying his skills and knowledge to various projects. His exceptional ability to fix almost anything earned him the reputation of being not only a great provider for his family but also a reliable friend to many. Throughout his life, Bud embraced the opportunity to assist those in need, reflecting his unwavering willingness to support others.
As a proud veteran of the United States Army, Bud exemplified commitment and dedication, values he carried into his personal and professional life.
He had a passion for the great outdoors and loved spending quality time with his family. George often enjoyed traveling to Texas for fishing trips with his brother, where he created countless cherished memories. His weekends were often spent camping at Lost Lake and Hidden Lake Resort, reveling in nature while riding his four-wheeler, or working on the family's golf cart.
Bud was characterized by his warm personality and was often described as a hard worker by friends and family alike. He maintained a relaxed atmosphere, always having a Bud Light ready in the refrigerator, inviting laughter and camaraderie into his home. Many considered him their best friend, and his presence will undoubtedly be missed in the lives he touched.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jeannie Perry; brother Robert L. Perry (Carole); niece Jackie Castro (Carlos); children Troy Hoyle (Emily), Stacey Hoyle. and Chris Hoyle (Molly); grandchildren Joshua Hoyle, William Hoyle, Michaela Hoyle-Riley (Jared), Braeden Hoyle, Brooke Thomas (Dylan), Brandom Thomas (Mindi), and Drayven Hoyle; cousin David Hilligoss (Janna); best friend Betty and Jim McIntyre, Brenda and Will Bannister, Allan Wagner, Brenda and Allen Haynes, and Don Johnson.
A special thank you to Brenda and Will Bannister in their care and compassion for helping with Bud and the family. Also a special thank you to Lori and Bob Reckinbaugh in their help in transitioning from the campground to home again.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Norma Perry and sister Sarah Perry.
George Everett Perry is remembered not only for his contributions as a worker, brother, and friend but also for the love and memories he cultivated throughout his life. His steadfast spirit will forever resonate with those who had the privilege of knowing him.
