Ginger Smith, of Indianapolis, was born on June 27, 1948 in Brazil, Indiana.  She passed away peacefully on June 29, 2020 at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 72.  She was a wife, homemaker, and mother to 6 children.  She also worked side by side with her husband, Jack Smith, for many years.  Jack preceded her in death in 2014.  She loved flowers and animals, and babies.  Many people noted Ginger for infectious smile.  She leaves behind 3 sons and 1 daughter.  Survivors include, son, Jimmy (Debbie) Smith, daughter, Lori J. Smith, son, John Lee (Trish) Smith, son, Michael (Samantha) Smith, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Johnny (Anny) Goodnight, sister, Dolly (Eddie) Haynes, and sister, Frances (Tom) Darling.  Ginger was preceded in death by her son Jackie Smith and daughter, Yuna Smith, and 3 brothers.  The funeral for Ginger will be on Wednesday July 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, Indiana.
