Goldie Capps

Goldie Capps, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 12, 2018. She was born on January 8, 1938 in Manchester, KY to the late Floyd and Martha Henson. Goldie married her husband of 38 years, Willie, when she was 18 years old and immediately started being a mom by taking care of his 3 children, whom she loved and cared for like they were her own. She went on to have 8 more of her own children as well.

Goldie is preceded in death by her parents and husband mentioned above. She is survived by: daughters, Jewell Hagens, Jeanie Murphy, Joyce Mcallister, and Tina Capps; sons, Cornell Capps, Jimmy Capps, Harold Capps, Kenlie Capps, Michael Capps, and Larry Capps; siblings, Lavena Roark, Charlie Henson, and Eva May Eades; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1pm to 2pm, with the service to start at 2pm on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue. Burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
