Gracie T. Newport

Gracie T. Newport, age 94, of Indianapolis, IN died peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 22, 2016. She was born on March 25, 1922 in Onedia, TN.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Jacqualynn) Newport of Avon, IN and Gary (Connie) Newport of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Mike Newport, Stacey (James) McWhorter, Danny (Kristi) Newport, Jeff (Misty) Newport, Jamie Newport, Jake Newport and Justin Bridges; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Newport; son, Larry Newport; daughter, Brenda Newport as well as several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis, 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
