Gregory Neal Carmack, born on April 11, 1952, in Glendale, California, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Anderson, Indiana. He was a cherished member of the community and a beloved figure in his family.
Gregory graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1970 and later attended Anderson University. His career was marked by significant contributions to both the family business, Carmack Inc., where he worked for over 20 years, and to Fiat Chrysler in Kokomo, from which he eventually retired. Gregory was exceptionally well-known for his mechanical abilities, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond his professional life, Gregory was a devoted family man who found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones. He also had a passion for gardening, cultivating not just plants, but nurturing the bonds that tied him to those around him.
Greg is survived by his wife Peggy Ault-Carmack whom he married in 1991; daughters Alycia (Gabriel) Brown of Lebanon, Tabitha Carmack of Anderson and Ylanda Carmack of Boston, MA; stepdaughter Julie Williams Pratt of Windfall; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents Horace T. and Jean (Limbrock) Carmack, stepson Joseph Williams, and sister Linda Hudson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday February 13, 2025 from 1-4pm at Greg and Peggy's home.
He leaves behind a legacy characterized by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family. Gregory Neal Carmack will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
