Gregory Lynn Marshall, born on November 16, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana, passed away on January 1, 2025, in his hometown of Anderson. He was a devoted resident of the community, having spent his entire life there.
Greg was a proud graduate of Markleville High School, Class of 1968. Following his education, he dedicated many years to working in Quality Control and focused on circuit boards. His professional life was marked by a commitment to quality and precision, earning him the respect of his colleagues and peers.
A laid-back individual, Greg enjoyed a quiet life, often preferring to keep to himself, allowing his personality to shine through his interests and hobbies. He was an avid reader, particularly enjoying the works of Stephen King, which often provided him with an escape into captivating worlds. Greg was also a passionate fan of Indiana University basketball and found joy in his love for fishing. Additionally, he cherished moments spent with friends, particularly around the table playing board games together.
One of Greg's proudest accomplishments was his membership as a Master Mason, contributing to the Fellowship Lodge at the time of his passing. This affiliation spoke volumes about his character and values, demonstrating his dedication to community and brotherhood. He was a dedicated member of Ovid Community Church, and his faith was very important to him.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Melissa Marshall; children Stephanie Marshall (Danny) and Christopher Marshall; grandchildren Logan Marshall. Lacey Snead, Liviana Snead, Aries "AJ" Marshall; and Axle Marshall; step granddaughter Lydia Howard; many special friends; and several brother’s and sister’s-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Frona Marshall and brothers John Marshall (Helen) and Jerry Marshall (Gloria).
Gregory Lynn Marshall will be remembered for his gentle spirit, profound interests, and the quiet contributions he made to those around him. His memory will remain cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.
