Harold Kent Cummings

Harold Kent Cummings of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on February 9, 2025. Born on January 14, 1947, he was the son of the late Harold C. and Alice Cummings.

He graduated from Center Grove High School in 1967. He worked for many years driving a truck for Lowes Home Improvement and Tom Wood Ford. Kent was married to the late Cathy (McCoy) Cummings.

Kent loved to laugh, have a good time, and listen to rock and roll music. He had a passion for hot rod cars, motorcycles, and model trains. He enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews. A big kid at heart, he will always be affectionately remembered as the “goofy fun uncle."

He is survived by sisters: Donna Summers and Pam Cummings; brother-in-law: Mike McCoy and wife Brenda; nieces: Angie Russo and husband Frank, Sandi Grubbs and husband Bob, Hope Purdue and husband Scott; nephews: Joe McCoy and wife Christina, Ben McCoy and wife Lori; great-nieces: Shelby Russo, Kathleen Tucker and husband Ben, Lexi Hamilton and husband Austin, Juliet McCoy; great-nephews: Josh Russo and wife Manda, Nick Newby and wife Brianna, Bo Grubbs; great-great nephews Dylan Russo-Wright and Delson Tucker; great-great niece, Saylor Tucker.

He was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Pat Wand and nephew, Chad Summers.

There will be a visitation for the family and friends of Harold Cummings from 10:00 - 11:00AM on February 18, 2025, and his funeral service will immediately follow. The visitation and funeral will be held at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services - Morris Street Chapel. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery located at 435 W. Troy Avenue in Indianapolis.
