The Life of Harold E. Williams:

Harold E. Williams Sr. was commonly known to family and friends as “Buster”. He was the youngest child of eight children born on July 19, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ewing and Thelma Williams who preceded him in death. Harold attended Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior early in life and enjoyed attending church and church events. On November 20, 1970, Harold and Mary Lawrence united in marriage for the first time; but not the last, and to that union came his firstborn son, Harold Williams Jr.

We all have a journey that takes us along many paths, Harold’s journey of love enabled him to make cherished connections. Later in Harold’s life journey, through his connection with Barbara Ann Lovelace came his daughter, Kimberly Williams.

The next path led Harold to his marital union with Constance Richardson in December of 1983, with whom he spent many years joined in matrimony until she preceded him in death. But, as life would take another turn, Harold remarried his first love Mary, bringing his life full circle.

Harold a.k.a. “Buster” was a hard worker who worked across industries; he was employed at American Art Clay as a clay master, Cisco Steel as a fabricator, provided janitorial services for Fort Benjamin Harrison Army Base, IU Conference Center, Doubletree Hotel, and he also provided security at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. After retirement, Buster enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and all their life’s accomplishments. He never missed an opportunity to acquire a lotto ticket or “scratcher” and he loved his “gadgets”; be it a new cell phone, tablet, or landscaping equipment. He loved football and was a die-hard fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. He was a very proud father watching Jr. play basketball and sharing his daughter’s life journey from California.

Harold nourished his faith in God through prayer and love. There was never a dull moment in the presence of Buster. On December 19, 2021, he departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Mary Williams; a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Pamela Williams; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Williams and Gene “Brett” Adams Sr.; his bonus children, Ruth Ann Jewell (John), Brenda Ward (Jimmy), Calvin Lee, Glenda Hollenquest (Emory), Charlene Mooring, Karen Zvetina (James Sr.), and Terri Mooring-Brown (Michael). Parents, Ewing & Thelma Williams; Siblings, George Williams, Elsie Graham, Laura Mabin, Katherine Jones & Thelma Robinson (preceded him in death); sisters Alma Washington & Jane Jones; grandchildren, Kevin Fuller, Breanna Adams, Brett Adams Jr. and 24 bonus grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; a host of nephews & nieces; great nephews & nieces; great-great nieces & nephews; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
