Helen Jane Carter

Helen Jane Carter, lovingly known as Jane, 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on July 11, 2018. She was born on January 27, 1937 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Jane worked at Regency as an electronics technician for 17 years, after which she retired. But then Jane continued working after that as a child caregiver for 15 years. Jane loved all animals and had an insatiable sweet tooth! She loved visiting with her family and friends too. She will truly be missed!

Jane is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bobby Carter; son, Robert Carter, Jr.; daughter, Carrie Nicholson (Earl); son, Ricky Carter; grandson, DonPaul Carter (Chandra), along with 10 more grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, William “Billy aka Junkyard” Carter; and sister, Judy Major.

Services will be in Indiana on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 1pm at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue with visitation to start at 12pm, until the time of the service. A graveside service will be in Tennessee on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 2pm at Old Brush Cemetery, South Portland, TN, with burial to follow.
