Helen Louise Stanish

Helen Louise Stanish, 84, of Indianapolis, went home to her Lord and Savior on January 9, 2018. She was born on May 19, 1933 in Indianapolis to Charles and Hazel (Tunes) Haley. Helen was a registered nurse and devoted her career to patient care at Community Hospital East. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John Louis Stanish, and her sister Dottie (Gordon) Redmon. She is survived by her children, Ron (Peg) Stanish, Connie (Greg) Thompson, Glen (Joy) Stanish and Cindy Stanish (Lisa Baker); her grandchildren, Adrienne Stanish, Jess (Steve) Anderson, Haley (Scott) Russell, Cole and Shannon Thompson, Mariel (Daniel Blain) Stanish, Harrison Stanish; her great grandsons, Charlie and Zachary Russell; and her sister, Bobbie(Dick) Sharp. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 10:00 until time of service at Noon at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services - Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Ave. Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wheeler Mission Ministries.
