Ivan Roy Lamaster

Ivan Roy Lamaster, 72, of Anderson, went to be with Jesus, his Heavenly Father, on April 15, 2020, at Community Hospital (Anderson) from a sudden illness.  He was born February 13, 1948 in Frankfort, IN to Donald Ivan and Evelyn Mae (Cole) Lamaster.

He was married June 15, 1968 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Dolores McDonald; she survives. In high school, Ivan achieved the ranking of Eagle Scout. He was a Graduate of Anderson College in 1971.  Ivan was a math teacher at Carmel Junior High and Frankton High Schools before becoming the Guidance Director at Frankton where he retired in 2002 after 31 years of being an educator. In his retirement, he worked part-time as a valet at Community Hospital North.  Ivan loved people, and was always helping others. He loved his family and church and worked tirelessly and cheerfully on whatever project he was involved in. He attended Florida Station Church of God where he previously served on several boards and committees.

He is also survived by 2 daughters: Kristina (Greg) Stump of North Webster, IN, and Kara Lamaster Merritt (fiance Shawn Gibson)  of Anderson. 1 son: Andy Lamaster of Zionsville, IN 7 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 1 great grandson. 1 Sister:  Shirley Campbell of Noblesville, IN   3 Brothers: Jerry Lamaster of Fortville, IN,   Bruce Lamaster of Lapel, IN, and Mark Lamaster of Lapel.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Rose (Lamaster) Whitmill.

No visitation is planned.

There will be a Memorial service at a later date.
