Jacquelyn “Jackie” Dahlby

77, of Indianapolis,passed away on December 31, 2016. She was born on September 1, 1939 to the late John and Jeanne Long in Cadillac,Michigan. Jackie graduated in 1957 from Lakeville High School in Otisville, Michigan. She married John Dahlby Sr. on May 21, 1966. She loved gambling on slot machines, Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, and the Indianapolis Colts. Jackie liked crocheting hats for those in need. But what she really loved was her family, and spending time with them, especially at their annual family reunion at the end of July every year up in Michigan. She will truly be missed by all. Jackie is survived by: children,Lynnanne J. Emerson, Jim McCarty, John R. Dahlby Jr. (Lori), and Scott Dahlby;grandchildren, Jessika Dahlby, Courtney McCarty, Jackie Gary, Dominick Emerson,Sarah McCarty-Haven (Riley), Amanda Dahlby, Josh McCarty, and Shannon Dahlby;siblings, Patricia Bennett, John Long (Donna), and Marilyn Minor (Dave), all of Michigan; along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by: spouse, John Dahlby Sr.; siblings, Janell Burch, Gerald Long, Echo Elaine Rathbun, and Jan Calkins; along with her parents. Services will be private. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis,IN. Arrangements by Legacy Cremation& Funeral Services - Indianapolis. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Vincent Hospice Care -Indianapolis.
