Jaime Hidalgo, 60, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on January 20, 2020, surrounded by family.
He was born to parents Aquilino and Basilia Hidalgo, on January 9, 1960 in Lima, Peru.
He was married to Debra Watkins in 1986. Jaime Hidalgo is survived by wife, Debra, daughter Misty Seidler(Rob), son Jaime Hidalgo Jr., granddaughter Tayler, grandson Brennan, sisters Lucy (Alex) Paulina, Vilma, and Rosa.
Jaime was predeceased by his parents Aquilino and Basilia Hidalgo, and brothers Cesar and Thomas Hidalgo.
Jaime dedicated his life to instilling a strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren. A Peruvian immigrant who came to America to find his dream, and found it, embracing his love of all sports: New York Yankees, Miami Dolphins, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Indiana Pacers. An avid Miami fan, his one wish was to see his 2nd hometown football team reach the Super Bowl. This dream was not realized, and Jaime expressed this as his one life regret.
Jaime was beloved by all who saw him. Despite recent setbacks in his health he maintained a positive outlook, had a contagious smile and never met anybody who remained a stranger for long.
The memorial service will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2020, at 1-3 p.m. at the Legacy Funeral Home & Cemetery, celebration of life to follow. The family insists that people make donations in support of Organ Donations of Indiana https://www.donatelifeindiana.org, in lieu of sending flowers.
