James D. Saunders

James D. Saunders, 73, Speedway, Indiana, crossed the finish line on April 9, 2017. James “Jim” was born on July 19, 1943 to the late Raymond Saunders and Cleo Car in Indianapolis. Jim was an avid car enthusiast with a love for corvettes. Throughout his life, Jim owned over 100 corvettes. Jim was a racer and an even greater race fan, he was one of the first to race at Race Way Park. Jim leaves behind his children: LaDonna Templeton, James A. (Sherry) Saunders, Christopher J (Shelia) Saunders, 9 grandchildren, 13 great – grandchildren, 4 Siblings, Judy, Joe, Beverly, John.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 13, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services 1604 West Morris Street.
