James I. Duncan Sr.

James I. Duncan, Sr., 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 28, 2019. He was born on March 28, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Margaret (Schnarr) Duncan. James graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1962. He was a pastor at several churches, retiring in 2006.
James was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church. He loved to ride motorcycles and to sing the gospel.
James is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above, along with his son, James I. Duncan Jr.
He is survived by his children, Sherri Boxell (Robert), Mark Duncan, David Duncan, and Janelle Duncan; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Duncan (Trudie) and Don Duncan (Colleen); along with many nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside held at a later date. James’ final resting place will be at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence. In
