James L. Castor, age 75, of Anderson, passed away after an extended illness on April 1, 2020 with his wife by his side. He was born on August 2, 1944 to the late Basil and Thelma Castor.
Post-graduation from Lapel High School Class of 1962, James worked for General Motors where he retired after many years. He recently just celebrated his 50-year membership to the Lapel American Legion. He also was a member of the 663 Auto Workers Union. James loved to spend his time hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was his grandchildren’s number one fan and was always active in attending their events. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
James is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Charlotte Castor; children Jimmy T. Castor (Winnie), Jeremy L. Castor (Crystal), Anthony Mroz (Julie), Natalie McClintick (Ted), and Mark Mroz (Kenra); brother Bill Castor (Judy): 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many special friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above; and sister Alfa Underwood.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral services held at this time. Cremation was chosen through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
