James Parker, 72, of Wanamaker, passed away on November 17th, 2022. Jim was born August 1st, 1950, to Ralph Arthur Parker and Betty Lou Parker (Downs) in Indianapolis, Indiana. His love for his family was immeasurable. Jim was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army and a machinist by trade. He enjoyed numerous hobbies including scuba diving, photography, and traveling. His biggest joy came from playing Santa Claus every year. His deep belly laugh, love, and humor will be missed.
Jim was preceded in life by his father, Ralph A. Parker and mother, Betty Lou Parker (Downs). He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marsha Parker (Keagy); daughters, Jessica Dillehay (Parker) and Rachel Beck (Joseph); son, Nathaniel (Tracy); grandson, Aidan Beck; granddaughters, Raegan Beck, Bella Parker, and Alexis Clark; great grandson, Jameson Clark; brothers, Ralph (Cheryl), Paul, and Greg (Dawn); sisters, Terry and Misty (David); and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 28th, 2022, from 2pm to 4pm at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46226.
