James William Stone

James William Stone, 72, of Fortville, IN passed away on January 30, 2022. He was born in Harrisburg, IL on June 20, 1949 to the late Guy Stone and Jean (Arthur) Walls. James, also known as Jimmy, was one of eleven kids who grew up in Indianapolis, In. He attended Arsenal Tech High School. James worked at many different places, but was on disability for a long time before he passed. He was a member of Fortville Christian Church.

James loved to work on different crafts, go fishing, and collect socks for his church to give to the homeless.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above; along with his siblings, Imogene Yokley, Ricky Stone and Gary Stone; his niece, Shelley O’Connor and nephew, David Sizemore.

James is survived by his 2 daughters, Christy and Taffy as well as siblings, Ronald “Pete” Stone, Jack Stone, Robert “Bob” Stone, Patricia Sizemore, Gerry Arnett, Charlotte Baxter, and Oma Billerman. He leaves behind 21 nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.

James will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends!
