Janet Mosburg

74, Indianapolis, passed away November 12, 2016. Janet was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 30, 1942 to parents, Francis E. and Alis J. (Marquette) Weddle. She graduated from Center Grove High School and retired from Inland Container Corp, where she worked in office administration. After retirement, Janet went on to work for the Indiana State Police in their records department for several years.
Janet was the epitome of the word “selfless”. She was kind and generous, giving freely of herself to others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored. She also enjoyed reading and watching classic crime dramas. Janet was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church, and sang for many years in the church choir.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Alis; sister, Jenile Gilbreath; grandson, Billy Lester; granddaughter, Amanda Jean; and great-grandson, Scott Webber, II.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lester; granddaughters: Elizabeth (Lester) Johnson and Deborah (Abrell) Merritt; great-grandchildren: Jacobi, Kaleb, Elijah, Riley, Serenity, Katelynn, Luke, Israel, Allyson Mae, and Scarlette; as well as many other loving family members and friends.
A memorial service in Janet’s memory will be held on Friday November 18, 2016 at Franklin Road Baptist Church, 51 North Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46219 with visitation from 4:00PM until time of service at 5:00PM.
