Jaona "Jody" D. Bardonner

Jaona “Jody” D. Bardonner, age 88, of Anderson, passed away on June 11, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 31, 1931 in Alexandria, IN.

Jaona was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was the provider of her family without ever expecting anything back. She was there for her family and friends no matter what the cost. She retired from Delco Remy and Magnaquench after 42 years. Jaona spent a lot of her time enjoying ceramics and drawing. She loved to spend time with her family, enjoyed butterflies, angels, and everything was lavender if it could be. Jaona was a devout Christian and a member of Light House Baptist Church for many years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jaona is survived by her children Kaye Blackford, Randy Wheeldon, Rex Wheeldon (Angela), Gene Bardonner, and Jaona Burk (Curt);step children Linda Stevens and Dean Bardonner (Mary); grandchildren Daniel Blackford (Heather), Wendy Barron, Matt Wheeldon (Angie), Monica Wheeldon, Matt Henry (Lindsey), Brianna Bardonner, Ryan Rickard, and Paige Baiano (Joe); and 14 great-grandchildren; best friend Wanda Kiddey; and canine companion Buttons.

She is preceded in death by her mother Gertrude (Long) Watson, grandson Eric Holt, stepchildren Judy Bardonner and Teresa Watson, son-in-law Bryan Rickard; and canine companion Bean.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 16, 2020 from 5-8pm and Wednesday June 17, 2020 from 1-2pm. A funeral service will begin at 2pm pm on Wednesday June 17, 2020. Burial will take place at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
