Jeffrey Carl Pickett, 58, of Anderson, IN, was escorted home by a band of angels to play on the big stage on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

He was born April 10, 1962, in Brunswick, GA, to Robert L and Doris A. (Baldwin) Pickett.

He was a former sheet metal worker, and a welder  for 35 years. He loved writing songs, playing his guitar, family karoke nights, family camping trips, and history and genealogy.

He was a musician with Joe Taylor and the Sons of Thunder and enjoyed performing and worshipping with his brother’s in Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Janine (Patterson) Pickett of Anderson, IN,  his son, Dustin (Emily) Pickett of Louisville, KY,  his daughter, Brittny Pickett of Anderson, IN; four grandchildren, River Pickett, Juniper Pickett, and Koa Pickett, of Louisville, KY, and Karmin Streaty (Pappy’s partner in crime};  Jaysson Streaty,  of Anderson IN; and his father-in-law Fred Patterson. Three brothers, Robert (Mary Jo) Pickett of Lafayette, IN, Dale (Mary Clark) Pickett of Anderson, IN,  and Duane (Sue) Pickett of Alexandria, IN; Many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews whom he thought the world of; and his lifelong best friends and brothers, Ron Dashler, and Chris Tate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Pickett

Public viewing will be held from 2-3pm with services from 3-5pm at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 504 West Ninth Street, Anderson, IN 46016
