Jennifer Marie Wynegar

Jennifer (Jenni or Jen) Marie Wynegar, 45, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 21, 2020, after a heroic battle with the side effects of a stroke and COVID-19.  She was born on January 15, 1975, at Bitburg Air Force Base, Bitburg, Germany to Ronald Leon Wynegar and Carolyn Yoke Wynegar.  Jennifer received a diploma from Lawrence Central High School in 1990, Indianapolis, Indiana, and an Associate’s Degree in Hospitality Management from ITT Technical Institute, Indianapolis, Indian in 1993.

Jennifer enjoyed working in the hospitality industry.  She held positions as hostess, waitress, and trainer at different restaurants around Indianapolis.

Jennifer became a member of Irvington Friends Meeting (Quakers) with her family.  Her leisure time was spent with family and friends.  She enjoyed movies, books, and music.  She enjoyed reading and writing poetry.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of 14 years, Gilbert Lopez; mother Carolyn Yoke Wynegar, sister Angela (Michael) Bartley, brother Michael (Mary) Wynegar, sister Melissa (Scott) Walton, sister Anne Marie Wynegar, grandmother, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services of  Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Yearly Meeting in Plainfield, Indiana.
