Jerry Valentine

Jerry Valentine, age 77, of Anderson, passed away on April 18, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 7, 1942 to the late Gerald Valentine and Evyonne Zeller.

Post-high school graduation, Jerry served in the United States Marine Corp. Later in life, he became an officer at the Amvets and was very proud of that. Jerry would spend his time playing with his dogs or watching westerns. Jerry was an avid musician and that was one of his favorite things. He was proud of his talents. He was a phenomenal father, husband, grandpa and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley; children Kelly Coleman, Kandy Valentine, Karrie Milli (John), Dawn Gallaway (Bill), and Wendy Valentine-Bruner (William); grandchildren Ryan, Lynzy, Dustin, Beau, Drew, Nicholas, Douglas, Nikki, Jamison, Paris, Pierre, Celeste, and Evan; 19 great-grandchildren; and many special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, and son-in-law Ron Coleman.

Donations can be made to the Madison Co Humane Society in memory of Jerry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen through Legacy Funeral Home.
