Jerry Ray Wilber, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on October 6, 2023, in Indianapolis, IN, at the age of 64. He was born on July 30, 1959, in Muncie, IN to Mary E Derringer and Roy Wilber.

Jerry had an accomplished career as a skilled Mechanic and also worked as a Truck Driver before retiring. He took great pride in his work and always ensured that things were built or fixed to perfection. Jerry's dedication to his craft was evident in his continuous efforts to improve his property and his passion for working on old cars and trucks.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Jerry had a deep love for his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He shared a special bond with his granddaughter Eryka; wherever Jerry went, Eryka would follow. He held a special bond with his niece Heather Sparks (TJ) and his great-nephews Evan, Levi, and Gavin held a special place in his heart, and he delighted in every moment spent with them.

Jerry's love for adventure extended beyond the workshop. He enjoyed working on go-carts and 4-wheelers, finding joy in both work and play. He was known for organizing large bonfires where family and friends gathered to create treasured memories together.

Jerry served his country with honor and dedication as a member of the National Guard in the 138th Signal Battalion for twenty years. His commitment to serving others was a testament to his selflessness.

Tragically, Jerry's life was cut short due to extended heart complications. His passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Jerry Ray Wilber is survived by his wife M. Jenee Wilber; his children Jeremy Wilber, David Reed (Jeanne), and Cheyenne McKinney (Elliott); his grandchildren Jerica, Jalissa, Dakota, Rayna, Piper, Eryka, Colt, and Ezra; his brother Allen Wilber (Karen), and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mary E Derringer and Roy Wilber, sisters Sue Voorhis, Lisa Wilber, and Vickie Fitzsimmons.

Jerry was able to participate in the Indiana Donor Network and because of his passing, he was able to help other families in need and that is something that Jerry's family will forever be proud of.
