Jessie Rebecca Lecote

Jessie Rebecca LeCote, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 20, 2021. She was born on April 16, 1947 in Petersburg, VA to Roosevelt and Dorothy (Lewis) Warren. She married John LeCote on February 14th, 2003 who preceded her in death in 2005. For many years Jessie ran her own daycare out of her home. She loved all children; it was not uncommon to often see her with kids in tow as she ran errands or visited family. Jessie often threw children in her neighborhood birthday parties, as she wanted every child to feel special, especially on their birthday. Jessie was also a very active member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Youngstown, Ohio for many years before moving to Indiana. She found great passion in serving the Lord, she could be found doing countless duties in her church from the choir, teaching Sunday school, or just planning church events.

Jessie is survived by her three children, Richard Booker Jr. (Lanelle), Diane Booker, Frank Booker and four siblings, Ruth Walker, Ellamae Holland, JoAnna Williamson-Polce, and George Warren. She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Mary Clarett, Marie Howell, Eddlee Bell, and Elaine Carver.

Services will be on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Fervent Prayer Church, 10512 E. 38th Street in Indianapolis, IN. Due to the Pandemic, services are private. Jessie’s final resting place will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
