Jill Dianne Chambers, age 57, of Anderson, IN died on Thursday, March 22, 2018 after a long battle with cancer that also took her sight. She was born on March 2, 1961 in Anderson to Carl C. and Joann C. (Craig) Chambers.
Throughout her 4-and-a-half-year illness she never complained and showed an enormous amount of courage and strength. She had a big heart and was always thinking about others. She loved to shop but her biggest passion was in helping people. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Anderson.
She graduated from Highland High School in 1979 and went on to earn her BSW from Ball State in 1983. After graduation she worked as a social worker in Cincinnati for many years where she specialized in helping people with addictions.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sharief, Lisa and all the staff at the St. Vincent Cancer Center of Anderson.
She is survived by her parents; sisters, Christy (Tim) Gale and Pam (Jeff) Miller; brother, Jeffrey Chambers; 1 niece, 3 nephews, 4 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews as well as many cousins. Memorial donations in memory of Jill can be made to the St. Vincent Hospital Anderson Foundation.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Gary Cable officiating. Arrangements for Miss Chambers were entrusted to Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson.
