Jo Ann Brummet

Jo Ann Brummet, age 87, of Elwood, Indiana, passed away at Elwood Health and Living on November 1, 2020. She was born on September 1, 1933 to the late Clarence and Lottie Rockhill.

Jo Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend. She stayed at home with her kids until she went to work for RCA for many years. She was a member of Alexandria First Baptist Church. Jo Ann loved many things, but being with her grandchildren was by far, her favorite. She spent time gardening and tending to her flowers, quilting, sewing, shopping, and being on the lake whenever she could. She and her late husband Vernon loved to travel together. Jo Ann loved to clean and always kept a tidy home, nothing out of place. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jo Ann is survived by her children Brenda Jones (Jerry), Melinda Nash (Philip), Loraine Huffman (Randy), and Tony Brummet (Donna); grandchildren Katreena Shirley, Eric Sullivan, Bridget Nash-Chrabascz, Hilary Uhl, Chris Huffman, Doug Huffman, and Kayla Brummet; great-grandchildren Wyatt Faulstich, Taylor Faulstich, Shelby Sullivan, Curtis Sullivan, Bailey Chrabascz, Harper Chrabascz, Isabella Uhl, Nicholas Uhl, Alissa Huffman, Tyler Huffman, and Ashley Huffman; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Peg Smith (Bob).

She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Brummet; parents listed above; siblings Terry Rockill, James Rockhill, Robert Rockhill, Sue McPhearson, and Betty Brewer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Elwood Health and Living in memory of Jo Ann. A special thanks to the staff at Elwood Health and Living for their excellent care and attention to Jo Ann.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Cremation Services were handled through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service Anderson.
