She is further survived by siblings: Sharon Samsal and Roxie Ninneman; her treasured Shih Tzu, Rocky Lee Knott; many other loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Myrtle Saunior, sister, Judy Mingle, and brothers, Ray Saunier and Rocky Saunier.

She worked at Crestview Elementary School as a head cook for many years, she loved being around all the children. Other jobs included administration at Homeland Mortgage in Indianapolis, IN, YMCA Camp as a head cook in Bristolville, OH, Dry Clean Express in Chicago Suburbs where she excelled as the store manager.

The only thing that Jo loved more than her children and grandchildren was God.
She enjoyed worshiping at Mt. Comfort Church (MTC) Mt. Comfort, IN where she was baptized as an adult, watching Christian programing and sharing Gods word with others.

She enjoyed her morning cup of coffee, Greek yogurt, and half of a banana for breakfast. Cooking was her passion and how she shared her love. Christmas was her favorite holiday and sharing platters filled with baked goods with all. Her home was filled with joy and laughter because she was passionate about entertaining and hosting. She showered her grandchildren with handmade Christmas ornaments every year, the more sparkly the better! Easter closely followed behind Christmas. She never missed a good Easter Egg decorating party and you can bet there were many tasty treats.

She loved to watch movies with homemade popcorn and a glass of wine. Although she loved the cords and notes of music, Hallmark movies were her heartthrob. She listened to and loved all kinds of music. However, her favorite artists were The Gaither Brothers and Anne Murray. She filled her home with her favorite colors, orange and purple. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading and studying God’s word, and playing games with her family and friends. She loved camping at Paradise Lakes in Bristolville, OH. In her younger years she excelled in bowling and played in a competitive league. She had the heart and will help anyone who was in need. She brought sunshine to all those around her with her joy-filled heart, infectious laughter, and gorgeous smile.

We are sorry to say, there will be not public memorial. Jo will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will come at a later date. Cremation Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
