Joan Rutherford

66, Indianapolis, passed away August 17,2016. Joan was born in Whitesburg, KY onDecember 13, 1949. She was a graduate of Warren Central High School, and was amanicurist for 30+ years. She has worked for the past few years at Dementions and Hair on Allisonville Road. She is known by her beautiful smile and beingliked by everyone.

Joan was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 11. She liked playing Bingo and shopping. Once a month, her and her friends would gettogether to play Poker at one of their homes. But mostly, she loved having her family and her grandkids at her house,as she always wanted to know what was going on with them every day.

She is survived by her: husband of 50 years, Gary; daughter, Jennifer Easterwood (Stan); son, Gary Jr. (Amber Krauth); mother, Mary J. Huff; sister,Patsy Lechner (Chuck); grandchildren, Halie Marie Johnson, Hannah MarieJohnson, Ciara Satkamp, Aireonia Nicholson, Madison Kaldenberg, Neveah Smith,Austin Smith, Ariel Smith, Brayden Flener, and Dilon Turner; along with manynieces and nephews.

Joan is preceded in death by her: father, Floyd Sturgill; niece, Candy Brewer-Knopp; and nephew, Shawn E. Lechner.

A Memorial Service will be 3pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at LegacyCremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, withvisitation from 2pm until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family tohelp with funeral and medical expenses.
