Jody L. (Gibson) Meredith

Jody L. (Gibson) Meredith, 39, passed away in Fortville on August 15, 2017. She was born to Tina and Dale Gibson on March 7, 1978 at home in Pendleton.

At the age of 10, Jody was the National Judo Champion. She was also active in 4H for ten years working with pigs. She graduated Pendleton Heights High School in 1996.
Jody loved animals of all kinds, especially her dog, Otis. She enjoyed horseback riding and reading. She was always smiling, never knew a stranger, adventurous, happy-go-lucky, and not afraid to try new things.
Left to treasure Jody’s memory are her children, Dakota and Christopher Meredith; special friend, Scott Robinette; ESA K9, Otis; parents, Dale and Tina Gibson; siblings, Trinton and Atlanta Gibson; grandparents, Barry (Marilyn) Sands; aunts and uncles, Eric (Malissa) Sands, Parry (Tina) Sands, Bobby (Pam) Sands, Donnie (Trish) Sands, Tim (Nita) Daniels, Sharon Crawford, Terry (Crystal) Daniels, Karen (Joe) Blalock, Jeannie (Bud) Perry, Darlene Abston, Dennis (Teresa) Gibson, Diane Gibson; very close friends, Belinda Stamper, Delana (Rocky) Gardner, and Danny Fountain; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Preceding Jody in death are her grandparents, Jimmy Daniels, Peggy (Charles) Bowles, and Frank and Betty Guenthenspberger; aunt, Shannon Kay Horton; and uncle, Gary Gibson.
Contributions in memory of Jody may be made to any Animal Protection League or Humane Society.
Visitation is from 1:00-4:00 on Friday at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services. Services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM with Belinda Stamper presiding.
