John Douglas Carpenter, a man beloved by many, passed away on July 31, 2024, in his hometown of Anderson, IN. He was born on November 13, 1942, in the same city he called home throughout his life.
John led a fulfilling life, dedicating over 30 years of service to General Motors before his well-deserved retirement. Prior to his career at General Motors, he proudly served in the United States Army, a period held dear to his heart and which instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism.

Outside of work and family, John found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing and working out at the gym he called Hoosier Park Casino. These hobbies brought him solace and relaxation amidst life's busyness.
One of John's proudest accomplishments was being the best partner, father, and grandfather anyone could ask for. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by his surviving family members and friends who will forever cherish the impact he had on their lives.
