John William Cooper, 67 of Anderson, Indiana passed away June 13, 2024.
He was born February 21, 1957 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Theodore and Garnet Cooper.
He served in the United States Army. John was known as a jack of all trades and was talented in many ways. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and canoeing. He enjoyed his time being surrounded by family and friends and held a close friendship with his cousin Terry Cooper. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his dog Bo and his cat Smokey.
John is survived by his wife of 25 years Jamie Lou Cooper; children Jacob (Holly) Miller, Marcella (Josh) Brown, and Josh Lee; grandchildren Beckham Miller, Devin Vetter, Jordan Brown, and Zoey; great-grandchildren Loralie Brown, Ronan Brown, Macie Vetter and Grace Vetter; and siblings Cynthia (John) Dean, Mickey (Terry) Newman, Pat (Larry) Lecrone, Mark (Patty) Cooper, and Teddy (Tina) Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Michael Gustin.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19 from 1-2 PM with a Service starting at 2 PM in Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Anderson.
